Another conference in the books and this time it was the fourth year for BloomCON at my alma mater and Bloomsburg University. It's always great to go back to the old stomping grounds and see what is new on campus as well as visit with alumni, current students, and former professors. There was a good variety of talks this year including a keynote from Michael Daugherty.
Some of the ones that I was able to attend including Dan Pany discussing "Red teaming from a Blue team perspective" (link), Ben Brown discussing Tor and dark web (link), and Larry Snyder talking about the human weakness in terms of cyber security (link).
You can watch the rest here.
I also had a chance to venture outside on a beautiful sunny day to watch high school and college teams from all over compete in the drone hacking competition. Lastly, I had some time to compete in the forensic CTF put on by the Digital Forensics club at the university and I placed 1st! I hope to put together a write-up for another blog post. A big thank you to Phil for the custom pen as well organizing another great year of BloomCON!
